Travel Info

Attendees should book air travel into Jomo Kenyatta International. It is Africa’s premier hub and ideal gateway into and out of East and Central Africa.
The Kenyan Shilling is the currency of Kenya, known as "KES". The single easiest place to exchange your currency is at the airport. Local time zone will be Eastern Africa Time (EAT) GMT+3.
Kenya has three types of climate: hot and humid along the coast, temperate in the west and south-west where there are mountains and plateaus, and hot and dry in the north and east.
In Kenya the standard voltage is 240 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. You can use your electric appliances in Kenya, if the standard voltage in your country is in between 220 - 240 V (as is in the UK, Europe, Australia and most of Asia and Africa).
