Dr. Grace Adeya is a public health physician with over 25 years of professional experience, including 15 years managing multi-country programs related to global health. Throughout her career, Grace has provided leadership and technical direction to improve health systems with a focus on supply chain management and commodity security, specifically as it relates to antimalarials and maternal, newborn, and child health products at the regional, country, and global levels.

I started my humanitarian journey in London with a Masters study in social policy in international development at the London School of Economics. Since then, I have been working in several countries as a field based humanitarian logistician in senior management roles for the past 12 years prior to joining the Global Logistics Cluster in 2021. With this experience, I have focused on emergency response as well as recovery and preparedness in multiple contexts across Africa, Middle East, and Asia. My experience and passion for the environment directly feed into my current role, which focuses on providing information and tools to humanitarian logistics practitioners to support the adoption of a more environmentally sustainable humanitarian logistics response before, during, and after emergencies. I pride myself on being a social policy specialist by training, a logistician by trade, and an environmentalist at heart. You can find me enjoying the great outdoors and exploring new places with my daughter and husband whenever the sun is shining.

Gloria is a visionary leader, known for her effective communication, strong coordination skills, and a knack for problem-solving in pharmaceutical supply chains.

Her dedication to continuous learning and innovation sets her apart. She has achieved remarkable milestones in her career, such as revolutionizing supply chain operations at MEDS, resulting in cost-effective last-mile delivery, reduced staff- related costs, and exceptional inventory management.

Rebecca Logan is an experienced senior executive and certified Project Management Professional with 23 years of professional experience, including 17 years in the humanitarian and international development fields with expertise in strategic planning and project implementation, risk mitigation, crisis management, and personnel management. As senior vice president, Rebecca oversees Chemonics’ portfolio of supply chain programs, including the procurement and delivery of health commodities to 34 countries/regional offices on the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project and several projects funded by The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

With extensive knowledge of the African market, and vast experience in global business management, Mr. Lotay focuses his passion for humanitarian endeavors by tackling supply and quality challenges, thus ensuring universal access to life-saving health commodities. He is currently the CEO of Centrale Humanitaire Médico-Pharmaceutique (CHMP) with the mission to ensure availability of high-quality medical products to global humanitarian programs.

Jeniffer is a highly skilled nutrition supply chain consultant. She has developed a deep understanding of Uganda's nutrition supply chain landscape and has a strong passion for improving the nutrition status of vulnerable populations in the country. Jennifer has successfully implemented strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Uganda's national supply chain systems, with a specific focus on integrating nutrition supplies into the national essential medicines supply system. Her expertise in supply chain management principles and practices has allowed her to optimize processes, ensure timely delivery of nutrition supplies, and minimize stockouts and wastage.

Jeniffer excels at building partnerships, collaborating with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and international stakeholders to drive positive change in the nutrition sector.

Dr. Nancy Njeru

Dr. Nancy Njeru is a pharmacist with extensive experience in the health sector. Through professional qualifications, experience, and commitment, she has demonstrated significant contribution and positive change in the health sector in her twenty (20) years of career, spanning from the hospital, testing laboratory, National Public Health Programs, Intergovernmental Liaison, Vision 2030 flagship projects, policy formulation, sector reforms, as well as Advisory and consultancy. Specifically, she has been very instrumental in the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in the formulation of the the Health Care Financing Reforms and advancing the health supply chain Agenda. and. Dr. Nancy Njeru holds a Fellowship in Health Economics from the University of Nairobi, a master’s in health systems management from Kenya Methodist University and a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Nairobi. She is an active member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya.

In addition, she has attained certifications and Credentialing in Health Systems Management and is a Fellow of the Health Systems Management Association of Kenya (HeSMA, leadership course in Leading High Performing Healthcare Organizations at Strathmore University and is currently pursuing online certification in Humanitarian Logistics at the LLA, UK.

Ms. Victoria Njunu is currently serving as the Regional Director for East and Southern at HELP Logistics Ltd – a program of the Kuehne Foundation. HELP Logistics’ ambition is to be a catalyst for transferring supply chain and logistics knowledge to improve the lives, and economic potential of vulnerable people and communities. Ms. Njunu oversees supply chain transformation projects under the HELP Logistics portfolio across several East and Southern African countries. She is zealous in using her expertise in the logistics industry to improve various elements in supply chains that will then improve the lives of the people connected to that supply chain.

James Riungu is a healthcare supply chain specialist and registered pharmacist with over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management and coordination of healthcare supply chain operations in sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Riungu has a broad range of experiences in the health sector that includes supporting research in global health supply chain management. Throughout his career, he has provided technical leadership and direction for the development and implementation of innovative strategies to improve health commodity security to the Kenyan Ministry of Health and other stakeholders in Kenya.

Fatima Tafida

Ms. Tafida currently serves as the Regional Supply Chain Lead for Emergencies at the WHO Regional Office for Africa. In this role, she oversees an end-to-end supply chain, managing the acquisition, warehousing, and delivery of both medical and non-medical supplies for emergency response across 47 African countries. Ms. Tafida has 18 years’ experience in various United Nations agencies, including Peacekeeping operations, and has deep expertise in orchestrating complex procurement strategies, optimizing supply chains, and navigating intricate logistical landscapes. She has received recognition for her efforts to drive efficiency improvements in emergency logistics, ensuring compliance with standards, and facilitating prompt delivery of crucial supplies vital for emergency response and peacekeeping missions. An advocate for change and innovation, Ms. Tafida has also been instrumental in advocating for the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and fostering collaborative partnerships in diverse, multicultural environments. She holds a MBA and several certifications in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Leadership.

Dr. Ushula Tefashe

Dr. Ushula Tefashe

Dr. Ushula Tefashe was born in 1979 in Wolaita, Ethiopia. He obtained his B.Ed. degree in chemistry from Bahir Dar University and his M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. Subsequently, he pursued his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in Germany. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Tefashe conducted postdoctoral research at prestigious institutions such as McGill University and the University of Alberta in Canada. Throughout his career, he has authored more than 40 scientific papers, delivered 15 conference presentations, and participated in 5 invited presentations. He also holds 3 patents and has received numerous grants and awards, including the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) fellowship for his Ph.D. studies and the McGill Dobson Cup Start-Up Competition Award. Furthermore, he serves as a referee for various scientific journals. His primary research interests focus on the fields of electrochemistry, biosensors, coatings, microfabrication, molecular electronics and corrosion. In addition to his scientific pursuits, Dr. Tefashe is multilingual, proficient in Wolayta, Oromo, Amharic, German, and English, with a basic understanding of French. At present, Dr. Tefashe holds the role of Chief Scientific Officer at Graphene Leaders Canada (GLC) Inc., overseeing various projects focused on graphene production and its wide-ranging applications. Additionally, he also contributes his expertise as a Scientific Advisory Board Member for GLC Medical International BV (GLCMI) in Belgium.
