ISyE and the HHS Center shares new research while cheering on the GA Tech Lady Jackets!

Sunday, February 23rd, the HHL Center and ISyE hosted a catered reception and poster session at the Callaway Club in McCamish Pavilion before the Georgia Tech Lady Jacket's basketball team took on Maryland. Georgia Tech Masters and PhD. students shared posters on various projects they have worked on recently, and HHL Center co-director Dr. Julie Swann motivated the Lady Jackets with a locker room speech as a guest coach and was called out onto center court at halftime.

Extreme By Design is the story of three Stanford students who design low-cost products that meet basic needs of the world's poor. During a 6-month d.school course, Design for Extreme Affordability, they travel to Bangladesh and Indonesia and race to build life-saving breathing devices, IV medicine infusion pumps, and fresh water storage systems. PBS aired the hour-long film nationwide on Dec. 11, 2013 at 10 pm (right after NOVA).
