Her current research focuses on the development of a workforce allocation tool for use in the public health sector of developing regions. The tool utilizes an optimization model and helps decision-makers allocate healthcare workers to facilities based on criteria including their preferences, facility demand for workers, and budgetary constraints. Colleen previously participated in the Caribbean Hazard Assessment Mitigation and Preparedness project where she worked with a team to determine indicators of vulnerability and risk.
