General CHHS Areas of Support

Naming of the Center for Health and Humanitarian Systems

An endowment fund to name the Center will provide permanent annual funding to this area of focused research, training and outreach and will help the center bring together experts in industry, non-profit organizations, governmental organizations, and academia to benefit the advancement of education and research in this critical area.

Gift to Create a named Permanent Endowment Fund

An endowed gift leaves a lasting legacy in the donor’s name and provides CHHS with permanent annual funding generated from the earnings of the principal gift. The earnings are used by the discretion of the Center director/s to meet the pressing needs of CHHS.

Lifetime Friends of CHHS

Donors who gift $1,000 or more to the general CHHS endowment are recognized on the CHHS website as "Lifetime Friends of the Center".

Gift of Expendable Current Operations Support

Unlike endowments, gifts received for current operating funds are available for immediate use and are fully expendable. Unrestricted gifts are used by the discretion of the Center director/s to meet the pressing needs of CHHS, including faculty support, student support, and program support.

Conference Sponsorship

Endowed Director’s Chair and Faculty Chairs

Endowed chairs attract, support, and retain top faculty to provide senior leadership. Support of a faculty chair in health & humanitarian systems greatly impacts the faculty, students, and research within CHHS.

Endowed Professorships

Income from endowed professorships is used to attract, support, and retain outstanding faculty. Endowed professorships in health & humanitarian systems give faculty the resources to remain at the forefront of teaching and research and to enhance student development in this important area.

Endowed Early Career Professorships

These termed awards are given to the most promising junior faculty members and help to attract and support faculty who are tomorrow’s leading teachers/scholars in the area of health & humanitarian systems.

Scholarships, Fellowships, and Student Awards

Georgia Tech puts a premium on attracting students with the character, determination, and aptitude to meet the demands of a first-rate technological education and to use that education to improve the world around them. Recruiting the most outstanding and diverse undergraduate and graduate students is extremely competitive. Scholarships, fellowships, and student awards may be designated for undergraduate, graduate, or continuing education students studying in the health & humanitarian area within the Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. The recipients proudly carry the name of the donor/s on their scholarship/fellowship/award.
