Mission

As an Interdisciplinary Research Center (IRC) at Georgia Tech, the Center for Health and Humanitarian Systems (CHHS) aims to transform health and humanitarian systems and carry out its vision through the following key action areas: education, outreach, and innovative solutions.

Education

Education

To increase human resource capacity in the areas of global healthcare delivery and humanitarian disaster response and long-term development by training future leaders using new research and sharing best practices. The CHHS education offering includes the annual Professional Certificate program in Health and Humanitarian Supply Chain Management as well as undergraduate and graduate level courses focusing on societal applications of OR/MS.

Outreach

Outreach

To serve as a global leader in health and humanitarian systems and foster multi-organizational, cross-sector collaboration to improve the effectiveness of global health and humanitarian response delivery. CHHS outreach includes the annual Health & Humanitarian Logistics Conference since 2008 and various events at Georgia Tech and with partner organizations throughout the year focused on global health and humanitarian operations.
